Donald T. Studley, CPA
Donald T. Studley has over 40 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant providing tax, accounting and auditing services to individual, commercial and not-for-profit clients throughout the State of Connecticut.
Prior to founding the firm of Studley, White & Associates, PC in Danbury, Don was a Tax Manager with the international accounting firm of Price, Waterhouse & Co.
Don received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Holy Cross and a Master in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of CPA, s and is a past recipient of the Connecticut Society’s Public Service award.
Don is a former member of the adjunct accounting faculty of the University of Bridgeport and is the retired chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Union Savings Bank in Danbury. He has been deeply involved in civic and charitable organizations in the Newtown and Danbury area for many years. He is a former chairman of Newtown’s Legislative Council, a former member of the Fairfield Hills Authority and the Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers, as well as a former lay trustee of St. Rose of Lima Church. Additionally he is the founding president of the Heritage Preservation Trust of Newtown, and has served as president of the Newtown Scholarship Association and the Newtown Rotary Club. He is a past treasurer of Ability Beyond, the Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism and the Newtown Historical Society.
An avid genealogist, Don is a 13th generation descendant of Mayflower passenger Stephen Hopkins and is a past governor of the Connecticut Society of Mayflower Descendants. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the 29,000 member General Society of Mayflower Descendants. He also currently serves as state treasurer of the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
